What we do
At our events we set up a gazebo
in the park or green space and
invite people to come and explore the environment and get to know each
other through different creative activities e.g. sculpture, photography,
painting, music. We provide ideas for particular activities and also
support ideas which people come up with on the day by providing a range
of different materials and a lot of enthusiasm. We also provide snacks
and hot and cold drinks free of charge.
Why we do it
Art
in the Park aims to encourage more creative and social use of parks and
green spaces, enable people to develop different skills, provide
opportunities for creative play for both adults and children and create
a forum for people to interact with different members of the community
and their everyday environment.
How you can get involved
Come along to one of our events. We also have opportunities for
volunteers who would like to be involved in the project. We are also
keen to make connections and partnerships with other projects in the
city and elsewhere.
